Made the slots bigger and ordered another die, got two probably because there’s a surface blemish on one of them.

Had these cut in aluminum because the stainless was impossible to modify. Slightly thicker because i saved $4 that way. 

I think these were waterjet cut based on the ragged edges. And the blemish. There used to be a makerspace in Provo where i could go fire up an OMAX abrasive waterjet and cut out parts whenever i felt like it. The catch was that you could only cut for 15 minutes out of any given hour because of the way industrial electricity use is billed in Provo. Go a second over that 15 minutes and you just spent $250 because the pump on that thing draws a LOT of power. If the city had allowed him to run the club at a multi-family dwelling his mother owns, there would have been no such issue. The proprietor experienced a major decline in mental health and then moved the operation to Alabama. 

But i digress. 

The new die has slots that are 2.5mm by about 14mm.
