Can you share a recipe? I sometimes wonder about variations of native american fried bread. Most of it seems to be based on US Army mess ingredients that were provided to first nations as half-assed compensation for loss of hunting and foraging territory. White flour, lard, dry milk, and baking soda / baking powder being unfamiliar ingredients at the time.
