Re: Gratuitus Overkill Time

Update: After receiving two faulty Alpha mixers and having to deal with returning them, I was very weary of ordering another heavy machine online. I think the dealer is making a huge mistake by not thoroughly testing the machines before sending them out to buyers. It would leave a bad impact in the consumer’s mind. I was still thinking about buying one but only if I drove to the dealer’s city and testing the unit myself before buying it.

However, I was having doubts not only about the QC issues but also about the size and weight. Alpha is stated to be 90lbs (41kg). However, when I weighed it at home, my scale showed 44kg! I found it too big and heavy for my personal use even though I was still able to handle it single-handedly. Don’t get me wrong: it looked gorgeous and majestic. I also liked the matte gray finish. I was also not sure about the digital interface (finding the replacement part if it burns down in the future).

The news is I ended up with this mixer which I found in the used market.
