Re: Stainless steel straws

I tried them, wasn’t a big fan. And one time i absent-mindedly reached for something that was past a tumbler with a steel straw sticking out of it and lacerated my arm pretty good.

I also bought a thermal tumbler that came with stainless steel straws with silicone mouthpieces specifically to help prevent you from perforating your mouth and it just seemed like more stuff that needs to be deep cleaned for safety.

I’m also 700 miles from the ocean and know for a fact that my trash goes to a landfill on the other side of the lake, and I’m aware of the fact that post-consumer straws would be considered a contaminant in a recycling batch so they aren’t being delivered to recycling facilities except by accident. I’m not endangering any sea turtles.
