just checked the steel that id left in the oven after my last pizzas.  looks like there was a bit of ‘spillage’.

the maintenance instructions say no soap, just hot water and a stiff brush.  well the stiff brush doesnt shift it, so i tried with my plastic scraper.

the steel is still smooth enough but the scraper does get rid of a little residue but it looks like its actually making the steel a lighter colour where it was so im just a bit worried i may be doing it some damage.  could a plastic scraper really damage a steel?

or…… should i just leave it cos this is ‘just what happens to steels’, and the next time i heat it up itll burn it off anyway?
