I didn’t say it was designed “for a home pizza maker to goose the controls…” or anything even remotely similar. I said it was operating within the design parameters which obviously it is given that it’s a published feature of the oven that requires zero modifications. I wasn’t there, but it seems pretty certain that the engineers and product managers (and lawyers) that designed the oven must have considered the possibility that a properly functioning oven could be adjusted to 585F. A hack, on the other hand, requires a modification that takes the oven outside of the design parameters and, in the cases noted, creates a significant safety issue. 

I also didn’t write or suggest that more heat is is the solution to every pizza problem nor did I “suggest more heat as a solution without qualification.” In fact, I was very specific and precise in what I said it accomplished for me.
